Hester Mavis "Mae" Boyette

Funeral services for Mae Boyette will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Dennis Duvall officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden.

Mrs. Boyette, age 92, of Meridian, passed away February 2, 2017, at Anderson Hospital.

Mae was a faithful member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She worked with her brother, Maurece Stevens, at Stevens Accounting Services. She also worked as a seamstress at many of the area shirt factories in her earlier years.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth M. (Brenda) Boyette and Glenn (Kathryn) Boyette; grandchildren, Adam (Jennifer) Boyette, Ryan (Brittany) Boyette, and Faith Boyette (Nick) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Addison Boyette, Hannah Boyette, Hallie Faith and Kaelyn Boyette; sister, Mirea Caraway and brothers, Byrdette Stevens and Roy (Pam) Stevens, Sr, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morice Boyette; grandson, Matthew Boyette and great-granddaughter, Kadee Boyette; parents, Alton and Birdie Stevens; brother, Maurece Stevens and sister, Ruby Henretta Stevens.

Pallbearers will be Adam Boyette, Ryan Boyette, Nick Anderson, Addison Boyette, Roy Stevens, Jr, Lee Stevens, Sammy Stevens, and Tim Stevens.
