Hilda Ann Sims

Graveside services for Mrs. Hilda Ann Sims will be held Friday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Crest Cemetery in DeKalb, Mississippi with Bro. Jack Kern officiating.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Hilda Ann Sims, age 101 ½, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Diversicare of Meridian.

Mrs. Sims was born in Newton County, Mississippi on March 30, 1917 to the late Nathan and Carrie Giles.  She was married to the late John W. Sims, Jr.

Mrs. Sims is survived by her children, Virginia Evans and John C. Sims (Margaret); her sister, Ruby Jean Chaney; her grandchildren, Gary Sims, April Thrash, Preston Sims, and Michael Sims; five great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Sims, Jr.; her son, Eugene Sims; and granddaughter, Eugenia Parr.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 26 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
