Houston L. Shelton, Jr.

Memorial services for Houston L. Shelton Jr. will be held Monday, January 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Brother Mike McKee and Brother Chuck Fowler officiating.

Mr. Shelton, age 72, of Meridian passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Houston retired from BellSouth Telephone Company after 48 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Janis Barham Shelton; children, Lamar Shelton (Thresa), Ann Barnacastle (Jeff), Michael Shelton (Shelia), Bonnie Flores (Carlos), Jeremy Malley (Tiffany) and Ryan Malley (Lucy Warren); grandchildren, Laura Shelton, Breanne Shelton, Jeremy Barnacastle, Elizabeth Bennett, Cheyenne Pruitt, Mikey Shelton, Arron Shelton, Jonathan Moffett, Victoria Moffett, Benjamin Piatt, Maria Flores, Tia Malley and Noah Warren; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Henry Shelton (Johnnie Mae), Irene Howard, Sarah Wilkinson, Charlie Shelton (Tina), Wanda White, Daniel Shelton (Dianne) and John Shelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston L. Shelton Sr. and Bonnie Christine Lovett Shelton and grandson, Cody Shelton.
