Houston L. Shelton, Sr.

Funeral services for Houston L. Shelton, Sr. will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Mike McKee officiating. Burial will be at Old Marion Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Shelton, age 95, of Toomsuba passed away December 27, 2015 at Andersons Hospital.

Mr. Shelton was a hard worker.  He was a truck farmer who drove to his customers and sold them his vegetables. He also enjoyed fishing and was a WWII Army veteran.

Survivors include his children, Houston L. (Janis) Shelton, Jr., Henry Wade (Johnnie Mae) Shelton, Irene Howard, Charlie (Tina) Shelton, Sara Wilkins, Wanda Faye White, James Daniel (Dianne) Shelton, and John Phillip Shelton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Bonnie Christine Lovett Shelton, and grandson, Edward "Bo" Crocker.
