Howard Glen George

Funeral services for Mr. Howard Glen George will begin at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Gary Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. George, 87, of Meridian, died Sunday, May 26, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Glen retired after a career spanning over 30 years in construction and asphalt. He retired in 1996 and often returned to work contract jobs to occupy his free time. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, papaw, and friend to many. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop in his spare time.

Mr. Glen is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Geraldine George; children Linda George and Michael George (Sharon); grandchildren, Robert Brooks (Jessica), Kyle Parten, Raymond Williams (Kristin), and Heather Miles (Bronzon); great-grandchildren, Gabriel Brooks, Braylee Brooks, Logan Williams, Aaron Miles (Sydney), Kathryn Miles, Landon Williams, Laken Williams, Lilly Grace Williams, Lanie Williams, and Lowery Williams, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mr. George is preceded in death by his son, Randall George; his parents Perry George and Pearl George Pope.

The George Family suggests memorials be made as donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation in lieu of flowers.
