A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Howard T. Hall will be at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Hall, 83, of Meridian, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at Bedford Care Center of Marion.
Mr. Hall was born in Florence, Alabama, graduated from Coffee High School and the University of North Alabama (formerly Florence State University).
He spent over 50 years in retail sales, beginning as a shoe salesman at Rogers Department Store in Florence, Alabama and working all the way up to a Regional Vice President of Dillard’s Department Stores in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Howard didn’t really have any hobbies so after “retirement”, he took a part time job with Harry Mayer Clothiers and got to spend a lot more time watching his two grandchildren play soccer and watching his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide win a lot of championships. It also allowed him more time to do whatever Mrs. Frances needed. God, how he loved that woman—and she loved him!
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Frances Hall; children, Lindsey Hall and his wife, Julie, Howard Hall and his life partner, Helah. Grandchildren, Anna-Lindsey Hall, and Jackson Hall. Step-grand-daughter, Jordan Turner as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Mr. Howard is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lura Hall; and two brothers, Ray Hall and James Hall.
The family suggest memorials be made as donations to: The Steve Hull Memorial Fund, 815 23rd Avenue, Meridian, MS. 39301, in lieu of flowers. The family would also like to thank the entire staff at Bedford Care in Marion, especially Mrs. Kim Johnson, for their loving care and support over the last two and a half years.
Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
