Howard H. Turberville, Jr.

October 3, 1949 — March 11, 2024

Mr. Howard H. Turberville, Jr., 74, of Meridian passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, at Ochsner Rush Health. He was born October 3, 1949, in Cherokee, Alabama.

Howie, as many knew him, lived life to the fullest and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide and Nascar Fan. Family meant everything and he savored the endless hours that he was able to spend with them, often traveling back to his beautiful hometown in Cherokee, Alabama. In addition to spending time with his loving family, he cherished his two dogs, Leiah and Stormie.

Employed with the Mississippi Lottery as a sales representative, Howie was extremely fond of his job.

Howie also was a man who had a heart of gold and will always be remembered for his kindness. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Meridian.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Brenda Turberville; sons, Saige M. Turberville; Ryan Turberville; grandchildren, Ethan Turberville and Trey Turberville; sister, Nancy Belue (Larry); and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; and his fur-babies - Leiah and Stormie.

He is preceded in death by his parents Howard H. Turberville, Sr. and Erice Williams Turberville; and son, Shon Eric Turberville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Kidney Foundation.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
