Funeral services for Mr. Hubert J. Haney will begin at 12 noon Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with Reverend John Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Bonita. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Haney, 74, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Specialty Hospital of Meridian.

Mr. Hubert was a family man and enjoyed being with family whenever possible. He enjoyed cooking for friends and family and was also a racing fan. He often enjoyed watching his grandchildren racing at Whynot and other dirt tracks. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Hubert was a fan of Alabama Crimson Tide Football and New Orleans Saints. He was affectionately known as “Papaw” by his thirteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all children and close friends.

Mr. Haney is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sandra Baker Haney; sons, Michael Haney (Glynnis), Stevie Parker (Shawanda), and Ray Parker; daughter, Hilda O’Dell. Grandchildren, Ashley Haney, Adam Reed, Austin Reed, Logan O’Dell, Caleb Haney, Casey Haney (Katelin), Camron Parker, Brandon Parker, Chase Parker, Chelsie Parker, Heather Parker, Blake Parker, and Wade Parker, as well as eleven great-grandchildren. One sister, Dianne Bland as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Mr. Hubert is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Louise Haney; four brothers, and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be Logan O’Dell, Wade Parker, Caleb Haney, Casey Haney, Camron Parker, Chase Parker, Colby Tyree, Thomas Tyree. Honorary Pallbearer will be Donald Smith.
