Huguette Shields Services for Huguette Shields will be held Sunday, October 6, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Stinson Cemetery in Meridian with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Shields, age 82, of Meridian, died Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Regency Hospital. Mrs. Shields was born in France. She met her husband, Robert, in 1956 while he was serving in the United States Air Force. They were married in 1958 and she moved to Meridian then and has been here ever since. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church for over 40 years. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Robert E. Shields, of Meridian; son, Edward Henry Shields, of Santa Rosa, New Mexico; and brother-in-law, Danny B. Shields, of Meridian. She was preceded in death by her parents.
