Ida Mae Sumrall Services for Ida Mae Sumrall will be held Friday, February 26, 2010 at 2:00 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverends Jack Kern and Steve Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Old Marion Cemetery. Mrs. Sumrall, 95, of Meridian, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Infinity Hospice. She was a longtime active member of Russell Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school Teacher, Youth Leader and was active with the Senior Adults. Mrs. Sumrall was former owner of Sumrall Furniture Company in Meridian. She was also active in Eastern Star and Russell Community Development Club. Survivors include her son, Denton Sumrall and his wife Carol of Meridian; grandchildren, Austin Sumrall and his wife Shelley of Houston, TX, Hope Parker and her husband George of Seattle, WA, Wesley Sumrall of Orlando, FL, Allison Hall and her husband Jeff of Atlanta, GA, Bradley Rice and his wife Jennifer of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchildren, Trip and Maddy Parker, Jacob and Chloe Sumrall, Nicholas Hall, Abigail Hall and Gavin Hall; sister, Donice Davis of Dothan, AL; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Sumrall; daughter, Martha Rice; brothers, Mitchell, Garland and Belton Walters. Pallbearers will be the Deacons and Men of Russell Baptist Church.
