Memorial Services for Mr. Ike David Hopper will begin at 7:00 pm Monday, December 10, 2018 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jody Pittman officiating. Private family interment at Enondale Cemetery will follow at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Hopper, 86, of Porterville, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Hopper was known for his love of people. He was very active in his community and in the Republican party. Mr. Ike was a large supporter and alumni of East Mississippi Community College where he also served as a past president of the EMCC Development Board. He was the first football manager to be inducted into the EMCC Sports Hall of Fame.  In his spare time Mr. Ike also enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as being with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Betty Hopper; Daughters, Faith Hopper Westby (Lawrence) and Gail Hopper Garrett (Steve) all of Dallas, TX, and son; David Hopper of Meridian, MS. Stepchildren, Newton Sharp (Dottie) of Russell, MS, and Chris Sharp (Debbie) of Porterville, MS. Step-grandchildren, Piper Myers and Canaan Sharp; two great-great grandchildren Olivia and Maggie Lauderdale. Sister Bernice Guest of Orlando, FL; nephews, Dennis Hopper (Mary) and Stennis Watson (Barbara); Niece, Janet Watson as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Mr. Hopper was preceded in death by his parents Pat and Nona Hopper as well as seven siblings.

The family request memorials be made to the Chapel in the Pines at EMCC.
