Ileta Hare Wakefield

Memorial services for Ileta Wakefield will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Brother Derrick Wilson, Brother Billy Warsaw, and Brother Caleb Wright. Burial will be at Andellum Cemetery in Andalusia, AL. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Ms. Wakefield, 98, of Meridian, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 at Poplar Springs Nursing Home.

Ileta was born February 22, 1921 in Covington County, Andalusia Alabama. She was the youngest of thirteen children. She was the daughter of W.E. Hare and Mary Jane McIntosh Hare. In recent years, she lovingly took on the role of grandparent for her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her niece, Jane (Mike) Antonucci of Lithonia, Georgia; nephew, Julian (Carolyn) Wall of Meridian, Mississippi; niece-in-law, Sandy Wall of Mandeville, Louisiana; and numerous other special nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and nephew, Theodore “Ted” Wall, Jr.
