Ilse Bateman

Mrs. Ilse Bateman, age 93, of Meridian passed away peacefully Friday, April 17, 2026, at Aldersgate Assisted Living. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter, Regina Vail (Bill); grandchildren, Ian McLaughlin (Erin) and Andrea Dulaney (Sam); two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Andy Dulaney; daughter-in-law, Kristy Hamilton; sisters, Inge Johnson and Magda Neumann; several extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. R.D. Bateman; son, Paul Marcus Hamilton; brother, Gerhard Grutzner; parents, Ernst Paul and Anastasia Grutzner.
