Graveside services for Imogene Boswell will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Richard Wallace officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Boswell, age 83, of Meridian, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016, at Bee Hive Homes of Marion.

Mrs. Boswell graduated from Vimville High School and was a longtime member of Hebron Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved her flowers and watching her hummingbirds.  Mrs. Boswell was a babysitter for 35 years and was known as Mamaw Gene to the children she kept.

Mrs. Boswell is survived by her daughter Kathy Hill and husband Keith; daughter Donna Sprabery and husband Pat; grandchildren Emiley Jackson Litchfield, Kate Sprabery, Liz Sprabery, a step grandson Zachary Hill; Sisters Sybil Margrave and Lois Goodwin, a brother Johnny Mac Hurt; 6 nieces, 2 nephews, sister-in-law Helen Smiley; brother-in-law Henry Boswell, Jr. and wife Doris; and many great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Boswell was preceded in death by her husband James Otis Boswell; Father Jack Hurt; mother Mattie Roberts Hurt; sister Bonnie Gilbert; and brother Roy Hurt.
