Irene Hopper Sessums

Graveside services for Irene Hopper Sessums will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Gumlog Cemetery, with Reverend Jonathan Poe officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Sessums, age 94, of Bailey passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at Bedford Care of Marion.

Mrs. Irene was a member of Arkadelphia Baptist Church for many years.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Carol Sessums; granddaughter, Jennifer Sessums Stockman (Casey); grandson, Reverend Dave Sessums (Tammy); great grandchildren, Rev. Jonathan Poe (Taylor), Haley Williams (Evan), Taylor Sessums, and Nick Sessums; three sisters, and one brother; a special nephew, Jerry Snowden; a special niece, Jackie Lewis; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Sessums, son, David Sessums, infant daughter, five sisters, and one brother.

The family request memorials be made to Arkadelphia Baptist Church or Baptist Children’s Village.
