Jack Leon Brown Services for Jack Leon Brown will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 1:00 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Lamar Lifer officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Brown, 79, of Meridian, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He served 28 years in the U.S. Army and was retired as E8 and First Sergeant. Mr. Brown was a Veteran of Korea and Vietnam . He was a member of VFW. Survivors include his wife Dorothea B. Brown of Meridian, daughter, Theresa Belvita Brown of Meridian, son, Barry Christopher Brown and his wife Tina of Longview, TX, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, brothers, John Brown of York, AL, Gaston Brown of Biloxi, MS, David Brown of Quitman, sister, Mary Hicks of York, AL, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers. In lieu of flowers and gifts the family request memorials be made to The American Cancer Society. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5-8 at the funeral home.
