Jack L. Joyner Services for Jack L. Joyner will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Earl Wheatley officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Joyner, 75, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Silverleaf Manor. Even though he was severely handicapped by being stricken with polio at the age of 14, Mr. Joyner was a well-known home builder in the Meridian area for many years. He is survived by his sisters, Bonnie Williamson and her husband Dalton, Joyce Dunlap and her husband Paul; brother, Kenneth D. Joyner and his wife Jean; two nieces, Linda Beatty and Kathi McKay; nephews, Charles Williamson, Glenn Russell, Jeff Russell, Ed Joyner, Van Joyner, Greg Joyner, Kent Joyner, Paul Joyner, and Mark Dunlap; one brother-in-law, Horace Russell; and one sister-in-law, Marie Becker; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Venton and Verbia Joyner; sisters, Vera Juanita Joyner, Bobby Marie (Tootsie's) Russell; brothers, Venton Neville Joyner and Doyle Edwin Joyner. Memorials may be made to the NorthPark Church building fund or to the charity of your choice. Mr. Joyner's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
