Jake, age 4, passed away, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Jake was a light that shined bright even in the darkest of places. Half of Jake’s life was spent battling a form of cancer known as Ewing’s sarcoma. Jake was born in Meridian MS as the youngest child and only son. Jake’s story touched the life of everyone who met him and strangers not only throughout the United States, but across the world. Jake spent most of his life in a hospital setting after being diagnosed in December 2023. The one thing most people mention about Jake most often is his infectious smile. Jake loved life and everyone he met. Jake sang and danced in church when he got to go, Jake could make anyone laugh and smile along with him. The nurses and staff at St. Jude in Memphis TN would jokingly call Jake the mayor of St. Jude because he would greet everyone in the hallways with a loud “hey”. No matter how bad Jake felt or what type of procedure he went through, he would always greet everyone with a smile. Jake taught so many adults through his journey what the true meaning of loving your family, loving life, and what it means to love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ unashamed. Jake has led so many back to Christ through praying for him. When Jake passed, there was mourning across the globe. He was so special, too perfect for this world. Jake has a huge following on the social media forum, Linkedin through his dad’s profile. The entire congregation of Andrew Chapel Church in Meridian MS would light up on Sundays that Jake could be there. Jake loved his daddy, he would come running to him each Friday night when his dad made it Memphis to spend the weekend with him. He loved his sisters so much, he loved to play pranks on them and make them chase after him. His nanny, his pawpaw, all of his family. The one person Jake loved the most is his mom who he affectionally called “mom-mom”. She was his rock with all of the procedures, all of the surgeries, all ofthe scans, she was always by his side, they did everything together. You would never see one without the other. Marsha no doubt has a guardian angel watching down on her. Marsha’s nickname for Jake was “bubba”. Jake’s soul was so full of love that his little body could no longer contain it. Jake didn’t lose a battle to cancer, he won. He left the cancer behind and is now in his eternal home with a brand new body that will never hurt again. Jake is so deeply loved by so many, he will never be forgotten and what a joyous moment the reunion in Heaven will be.
Jake is survived by his loving parents, Brian and Marsha Warren; his siblings whom he adored, Lydia Warren Jones (Dylan), Kayli Warren, Amber Johnson, Taylor Johnson, and Breann Warren; his paternal grandparents, Joe and Vicki Warren; his maternal grandparents, Teresa and Kevin Neal; his aunt, Melissa Warren Mathis (Ryan); and uncle Joseph Malmay; as well as a numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Jake is preceded in death by his uncle, William Malmay.
Pallbearers will be Lane Davis, Clay Garrett, Josh Garrett, Bryce Garrett, Austin Read, and Justin Irwin.
