A celebration of life for Mr. James "J.B." Bradley will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Hutchinson officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. James Bradley, age 86, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
James was born December 15, 1939 to the late Rueben and Clara Mae Bradley. On May 25, 1962, he married the love of his life, Ernesteen Gray Bradley. They spent almost all of their time together and shared many hobbies such as tending their garden, raising exotic birds, coordinating Bantam chicken shows, and even running their own trophy shop.
James was a skilled carpenter and spent his life working across the southern United States on commercial projects. A man that loved to work with his hands, J.B. hated being stuck inside and would constantly find projects to work on, things to build, or something to fix.
Mr. James was loved by many friends and family and will be forever missed.
Mr. Bradley is survived by his sons, Steve Bradley (Tami) and Brian Bradley (Mandy); grandchildren, Russell Bradley (Amanda), Kaleb Bradley, Sofie Bradley, and Ava Bradley; sixteen great-grandchildren; and his brother, Larry Bradley (Linda).
J.B. was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ernesteen Bradley; his parents, Rueben and Clara Mae Bradley; his grandchildren, Steven Lyle Bradley, Jr., Jonathan Kyle Bradley, and Phillip Matthew Bradley; and his siblings, Ruby Mae Alexander, Eldon Bradley, Dorothy Collins, Edwin Bradley, Edward Bradley, and Hazel Pickard.
