Funeral services for Mr. James Edward Carter will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Causeyville Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Causeyville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 at the church prior to services. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. James Edward Carter, 58, of Meridian, MS, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at University of Mississippi Medical Center.

James was a retired Journeyman Electrician, who loved his family, his animals, farming, hunting, fishing, and playing dominoes.

He is survived by his wife, Erica Carter, sisters; Rebecca Moffett (Glenn) and Billie Jo Graham (Kenneth), mother-in-law, Gail Massey, nephews; Carter Williams (Sarah Ann) and Brandon Williams, nieces; Jessica Chancelor (Ancil) and Brooke Quinn (Brandon), eight great-nieces and nephews, uncles Rufus and Ellis Carney Jr., brother-in-law, Gary, sisters-in-law; Geneen, Patti, and Beverly; four step children and three step grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Billy and Loretta Carter, grandparents; John Columbus and Lucy Carter and Ellis and Geneva Carney, Aunt Shirley Carney Cranford, and Uncle Donald Carter.

Pallbearers will be Carter Williams, Brandon Williams, Brandon Quinn, Ancil Chancelor, Dennis Ray Cochran, and Chris Carney.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the local IBEW chapter 917, the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency "MORA", or any local animal rescue charity.
