James Coleman "J.C." Jones

James Coleman "J.C." Jones Services for James Coleman "J.C." Jones will be held Monday, November 1, 2010, at 3:00p.m., at Spring Creek Baptist Church, with the Reverends Bill Webb, Wayne Edwards, and Wayne Smith Officiating. Burial will be in Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Neshoba County with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jones, age 83, of Meridian, died Saturday October 30, 2010 at Poplar Springs Nursing Center. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, Mississippi. He owned and operated Jones Carburetor Repair Shop in Meridian. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed racing and fishing. He was survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen Blount Jones, of Meridian, his son Mike Jones and his wife Tammy, of Meridian, his daughter Martha Johnson and her husband Richard, of Meridian, his grandchildren Shannon Mann Baker and her husband Troy, of Jasper, Alabama, Apryl Mann Blackburn and her husband Nathan, of Jackson, and Colby Jones, of Meridian. He was also survived by his step grandchildren Amanda Allen and her husband Wade, of Jackson, Stephen Johnson, and Patrick Johnson, his great grandchildren Gracey Baker, Ansley Baker, Beckett Blackburn, Keller Blackburn, and Monroe Allen, his sister Elizabeth Perry, of Philidelphia, and his brother Leroy Jones, of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Ollie Jones, and by two sisters and one brother. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00p.m. on Sunday at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, and one hour prior to service at the church.
