Bubba Crawford was born October 31, 1960, in Meridian, MS. He flew to Heaven on his Angel Wings

March 30, 2022.

Bubba grew up in Meridian, MS, but also lived at Ellisville State School, South MS Regional Center, North

MS Regional Center and in a community home in Petal, MS. He had many friends all over the state.

Bubba was a very social person, loved to go places, and always had a hug for everybody.  If he heard

anybody say the word “go”, he was headed to the car or truck. Bubba enjoyed long rides and particularly

wanted to go look for trains, fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars. He got excited when their lights

and sirens came on. He always wanted to follow them to see where they were going. Bubba loved to

visit the fire station and get to sit in or on the fire truck and have them cut the lights on. His other

favorite things to do included shopping at any and every store for his cassette tapes and players,

headphones, sunglasses, shirts, wallets, coloring books and plastic boxes. Bubba enjoyed going to play

“rollie ball” and getting prizes at arcades and he also liked going to the Carousel at Highland Park. Bubba

liked to play basketball, ride bikes, throw frisbees, hit golf balls, and swim. He loved to eat at Waffle

House, IHOP, and Cracker Barrell so he could get his fill of coffee. Bubba enjoyed watching his favorite

shows, Family Feud and The Price is Right. He also enjoyed his favorite bands KC & The Sunshine Band,

Kool and The Gang, and Earth Wind and Fire.

Bubba is survived by his father, James Thomas “Jim” Crawford Sr.; his brother, Michael Crawford (Carolyn), three nieces, and one nephew: Marissa, Marly, Emily, and Jackson.

Bubba is preceded in death by his mother, Jacquelyn “Jackie” Massey Crawford.
