James E. Glaze, 85 of Meridian, Mississippi (formerly of Anderson, Indiana) passed away at home on Sunday, July 12, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. Thank you heavenly Father for Your word and grace.
James grew up in Gas City, Indiana and Tucson, Arizona where he graduated from Amphitheatre High School in 1952. James returned to Gas City where he trained to become a Tool and Die maker. James married Judy Jones and they were happily married for 52 years. James worked for B and G Tool and Die for 12 years and retired from Delco Remy after 25 years, in 1998 where he was a manufacturing engineer. He loved playing golf, working with wood and various home improvement projects. James especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith M. (Jones) Glaze and his brother Dale Webb of Tucson, Arizona.
Survivors include his four children; James E. Glaze, Jr. (wife Sharon) of Evansdale, Iowa; Anthony Reed Glaze (wife Tammy) of Ridgeland, Mississippi; Vickie Glaze Arnstein of Meridian, Mississippi; Bret W. Glaze (wife Melissa) of Bentonville, Arkansas; his sister Barbara Pearce of Texas; brother David Webb (wife Denise) of Washington; fifteen wonderful grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15 from 5:00 to 7:00 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, Meridian, Mississippi. Visitation and funeral will be held Saturday, July 18 from 10:00 to 12:00 at Needham, Storey, Wampler Funeral Home in Gas City, Indiana with a burial service following at the Riverside Cemetery, Gas City, Indiana.
