James Edward "Buck" Hearty

Services for Buck Hearty will be held, Friday, March 24, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Chunky United Methodist Church, with Brother Lewis May officiating.

Mr. Hearty, age 80, of Chunky, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at Bedford Care in Newton, Mississippi.

Buck loved driving his truck and seeing the country. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Korea. Buck loved his horses and dogs and enjoyed fishing, but above all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Elita Hearty; children, Bobby (JoAnn) Hearty, Tina (Charles) Metrolis, Bryan (Shannon) Hearty, Gary (Bonnie) Brown, Jonathan (Melanie) Dean, and Jennifer Dean; twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Danny (Daine) Hearty, Tommy (Joyce) Hearty, Billy Hearty, and Donnie (Cathy) Hearty, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maxine Hearty; sons, J.W. Hearty and Billy Hearty; sister, Yvonne Walker and brother, David Hearty; and brother-in-law, Frank Poston, Sr.
