James Hurdle Henderson, Jr.

d. August 2, 2011

James H. Henderson, Jr. James Henderson, 55, beloved husband and father of Marlene and Sara, went to be with the Lord. James was a Christian, whose faith gave him comfort; and always believed God was by his side. He was born March 14, 1956, in Nuremburg, Germany. His mother, Etta Lee Sanders Henderson, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Henderson, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sanders preceded him in death. He is survived by his father James Hurdle Henderson of Meridian; brother Glenn Henderson and wife Beverly of Meridian; sisters, Theresa Anderson and husband Russell of Hattiesburg; Darlene Limerick of Birmingham, Alabama. In-laws, Dr. and Mrs. Walter Primeaux of Abbeville, Louisiana; Larry and Lisa Primeaux of Meridian; David and Nancy Primeaux of Petersburg, Virginia; Claire Primeaux of New Iberia, Louisiana; Marie and Willis Melancon of Meridian; Joan Primeaux of Broussard, Louisiana; Catherine and Craig Melancon of Meridian, Michelle and Steve Lazarus of New York, New York; Jeremy Vaughn of Oxford, Mississippi; and numerous nieces and nephews. After graduating from Ole Miss in 1978, James went to work for his family Steel Company in Meridian, then set out to build two successful businesses in Meridian. He was a well-respected and astute businessman to all who knew him. James was a faithful supporter of Ole Miss Athletics but most importantly was a devoted and loving husband and father. A private, family only service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to Gideon's International or Daleville Community Cemetery.
