James "Jim" Holeman, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. James Holeman, Jr will be held Monday, April 9, 2018, at 10:00am at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Naylor officiating. Burial will be at 12:00 noon at the Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Newton. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Holeman, age 88, of Meridian, passed away April 6, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Holeman was a member of First Baptist Church of Marion. He retired from the U.S. Army, where he served as Chaplain Administrator. He then retired from the state of Mississippi with the Employment Security Commission.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Holeman; children, Cindy (Steve) Stepinoff, Toni (William) Oakland, Eric (Lana) Holeman, Paula (Rick) Hopkins, Suzan (Curtis) Walker, and Russell (Trina) Wright; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Phillip Wooldridge and his parents, James and Alice Holeman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Marion.
