Services for James W. Stevenson will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Causeyville Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Jones and Reverend Jack Giles officiating. Burial will be in Causeyville Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Jim Stevenson, 64, of the Causeyville community died Monday, April 7, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired after twenty-two years from the United States Air Force. Mr. Stevenson specialized in electronic warfare. Jim was involved in various community services including LEMA, Meridian Amateur Radio Club and the East Mississippi Kennel Club.

Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Brenda J. Stevenson of Causeyville; sons, Douglas Stevenson and wife Erica and granddaughter, Zorra Stevenson of Causeyville, Matthew Stevenson and partner, Dwayne Jordan of Meridian and Andrew Stevenson of Athens, Georgia, mother, Helen Humphries, sister, Debbie Stephens; brother, Glynn Stevenson all of Philadelphia; sister, Sheila Shannon, father-in-law, Ray Williams and wife Kathryn all of Meridian and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Stevenson and mother-in-law, Myrtie Williams.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations of dog and cat food be made to the East Mississippi Kennel Club or Gideons International.
