Services for Jimmy Poythress will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Reid Whittington and Reverend Kim Culpepper officiating. Burial will be at Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Poythress, 49, of Russell Community, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his home.
He was a graduate of Northeast High School, and was employed by East Mississippi Electric Power Association. He attended Prospect Presbyterian church and was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Pattie Poythress and daughter, Hannah Poythress; sister, Susan Gardner and husband Mike; brother-in-law Randy Skipper and wife Kristie; father-in-law, James Skipper and wife Betty; mother-in-law, Faye Odom; nephews, Jeremy Gardner and wife Sandra, Daniel Gardner and wife Brittanie, Jacob Gardner, Aaron Skipper and Ethan Skipper; and great nephew, Mason Gardner. Also his family dog, Abby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Betty Poythress.
Pallbearers will be Delbert Coker, Gordon Jeffcoat, John Kelly, Chip Falgout, Aaron Napp, Bryce Nester, Daniel Gardner and Jacob Gardner. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of EMEPA and the A-Bolt Hunting Club.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
