Funeral services for James “Jimmy” William Roundtree will be held Monday, March 26, 2018, at 2:00pm at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Mike Bird, Reverend Virgil Walters and Reverend Mike Skinner officiating. Burial will be held at Cooks Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Roundtree, age 71, of Collinsville passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Roundtree was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He served his country in the Army National Guard. Then, he served in the Air National Guard, from which he retired with a total of thirty-five years of military service. He loved to play country and bluegrass music; his music was his life.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Linda Sue Roundtree of Collinsville; children, Amy Files (Jimmy) of Brandon, Jamie Roundtree (Alicia) of South Carolina, Robert May of Philadelphia, Angie Skinner (Scott) of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Luke, Logan, and Lexie Files, Dylan, Devin, and Jessica Skinner, and Hayden May; great-granddaughter, Kinsley Skinner; brother, Tommy Roundtree (Linda) of Athens, Alabama; one niece, Gaye Roundtree of Meridian; and two nephews, Doug Wasilewski of Ohio and Clay Roundtree of Alabama: and mother of Amy and Jamie, Sharon Frederick of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bertha Roundtree and one sister, Patricia Wasilewski.
