Memorial Services for James "JJ" Jozwiak will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Fleet Reserve Association Branch 264 on Hwy 39 North. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jozwiak, 70, of Meridian, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his home. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He served in the United States Navy for 24 years and retired in Key West, Florida where he was a past commander of American Legion Post 28. He later returned to Meridian where he was previously stationed at the Naval Air Station of Meridian. JJ was a member of Fleet Reserve Association Branch 264, V.F.W., American Legion Post 43, Loyal Order of the Moose, Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity and The International Order of Old Bastards.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Diane Jozwiak of Meridian; daughter, Joanne Hirn of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter, Kayla Hirn of Virginia Beach, VA; and sisters, Bonnie Schweitzer of Milwaukee, WI, and Paula Willeford of Princeton, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosalie Jozwiak.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a Veterans organization of your choice.
