J.T. Scarbrough Services for James Thomas "J.T." Scarbrough, Jr. will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Ebb Fox officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery in Causeyville with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Scarbrough, 90, of Meridian died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Infinity Hospice. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the United States Army 106 Chemical Processing Plant. He attended Calvary Chapel Meridian. Mr. Scarbrough is retired from Webster Chain Company and he loved to hunt and fish but his greatest passion was farming. Survivors include his daughter Patricia Lee and her husband Jimmy of Buckatunna, a son Eric Scarbrough and his wife Rhonda of Meridian, grandchildren Amy Boykin and husband Tim, Megan Williams and husband Randall and Ethan Carney, great-grandchildren Noah Williams and Mason Williams, a sister Zula Godwin of the Energy Community, two special grand dogs Toby and Abby, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty nine years Clara C. Scarbrough, a daughter Sandra G. Briggs, his parents Jim and Mabel Scarbrough, sisters Earline Briggs, Eloise Link and Evie Lou Lucas, and brothers Virgil D. Scarbrough and Lavon Scarbrough. Pallbearers will be Charles Lucas, Dwight Sullivan, Michael Scarbrough, Keith Massey, Taurus Hutchinson and Shad Hutchinson.
