James Marvin Roberts Funeral services for James Marvin Roberts will be held Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dano Rainer officiating. Burial will be at Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. James Marvin Roberts passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the age of 78 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was at home surrounded by his family and a very dear friend. He is survived by sons, Bruce Roberts (Vanessa) of Meridian, Terry Roberts of Meridian, Allan Roberts (Marcy) of Philadelphia; daughter, Margie Franklin (Steve) of Pearl; seven grandchildren, Morgan Roberts, Chris Roberts, Daniel Roberts, Ryan Moore, Jeremy Moore, Ethan Wilkinson, and Alyssa Wilkinson; five great-grandchildren, Brooke, River, Eli, Carter, and Kiley; one dear close companion,Carolyn Hudson; sisters Minnie Espy and Dorothy Mae Matlock; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Landrum Roberts, parents Jessie Benjamin Roberts and Alama Doener Roberts, sisters Viola Lovett, Lee Berta Hatley, and Edna Earl Eshee, brothers Jessie C."Jake" Roberts, Willie L."Duck" Roberts, James L."Runt" Roberts,and grandsons Ben Roberts and Jayson Roberts. Pallbearers will be nephews Jessie Roberts, Thad Roberts, Wayne Roberts, Joe Roberts, Gary Matlock, and Kenny Espy. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Pace and Gerald Pace.
