Mr. May,71, of Meridian died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at his residence. He served in the United States Navy where he served two tours in Vietnam. He was retired driver with Roadway. In his last days Jimmy made a profession of faith and joined Carmel Baptist Church. Survivors include his children, James Louis "Little Jim" May, Jr. of Texas, Elizabeth Ann May (Corder) of Manchester, Kentucky, Deborah Lynn May of Manchester, Kentucky and Jonathan Louis May of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; sisters Jan Anderson and Joy Miller both of Meridian; grandchildren, Jeremiah Landen May, John Michael May, Amanda Marie Sharman, James Robert May and Ronald Preston Cabral; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Grady and Odessa May; brothers John F. May and Jack D. May and granddaughter Angela Renee Metcalf.
