James B Mcgrew, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. James B. McGrew, Sr. will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 11:00am at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Bro. Damon Williams officiating. Burial will be held at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. McGrew, age 75, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Queen City Nursing Center after battling Cancer for several years.

Mr. McGrew will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, family, grandchildren, and classmates. One of the things he really enjoyed was working on the class reunion every five years with MHS class of 1963.

Survivors include his wife, Marie McGrew; step daughter, Christy Humble (Bryan); son, James McGrew, Jr. (Pam); two brothers, Bobby McGrew (Patsy), Jerry McGrew; one sister, Ann Smith (Randy); sister-in-law, Jackie McGrew; grandchildren, Dylan McGrew, Kodee Conner, Baleigh Conner, Daniel Conner, and Braxton McGrew; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Scott Smiley and Phyllis Rock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff David and Floyse Mae McGrew; brothers, Kenneth McGrew (Vera) and Glen McGrew; and one sister, Linda Haney.

The family requests memorials be made to the Cancer Center of Meridian or the charity of your choice.

Pallbearers will be Keith Frey, David Hosch, David Bonner, Kodee Conner, Dylan McGrew, William Hodges, and Scott Smiley.
