J.T. "Buddy" Morgan, Junior Services for J.T. "Buddy" Morgan, Jr. will be held Monday, November 28, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Sikes and Dr. Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Morgan, 81, of Meridian, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a 1948 graduate of Meridian High School. Mr. Morgan joined the marine reserve and fought in the Korean Conflict and was a member of The Chosen Few. He returned to Meridian in 1952 and started working for his father at J.T. Morgan Tile Company where he remained until his retirement in 1998. In 1977 he started JTM Tile Distributing Company in Jackson, MS where he still was active. He was an avid golfer, member of Jesters, Shriners, Easy Street Investments, and Queen City Golfers. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Trevaline Morgan; sons Scott Morgan and wife Susie, Ken Pace and his wife Amanda of Brandon, MS; daughters Marisa Morgan of Brandon, MS, Faith Morgan Hollingsworth and her husband Mike of Spring Hill, TN., and Tori Pace Boling; grandsons Wesley Morgan, Nathan Weathers (Ashley), and Trevor Boling; granddaughters Brooke Morgan Chamblee (Michael), Abby Morgan, and Addy Weathers; great grandchildren Trent Sherrill and Collins Chamblee; brother Glynn Morgan of McAllen, TX; and numerous nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents J.T. "Spec" and Lucy Morgan, and sister Freda Morgan Robinson. Pallbearers will be Michael Chamblee, E.M. "Hoot" Gipson, Mike Hollingsworth, Greg Robinson, Randy Robinson, and Steve Robinson. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Hope Village for Children (P.O. Box 26, Meridian, MS 39302) or Wesley House (P.O. Box 1207, Meridian, MS 39302). Visitation will be Sunday, November 27, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
