James Edward Parnell Memorial service for James Edward Parnell will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Phi Delta Kappa, with Reverend Richard Williams officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Parnell, 57, of Meridian died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired from Mid South Rail Road and the Meridian Star. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa. Survivors include his wife Gail Dean Parnell of Meridian; son Rayford Parnell of Meridian, daughters Heather Rigdon Cooper and husband Monty of Decatur, Jeana Werner and husband Matthew of Birmingham, Alabama, Jessica Hover of Meridian and son Matthew Parnell of Stonewall; grandchildren Chloe Cooper, Mason Werner, Savanah Werner and Jaidyn Hover; sister Tjwanna Heblon and husband Bill of Meridian; brother Charlie Parnell and wife Gail of Chunky, Harold Parnell of Chunky and Eddie "Butch" Parnell and Tom of Allentown, Pennsylvania; numerous nieces and nephews.
