James "Jim" Rasmussen Mr. Rasmussen, age 76, of Meridian passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015, at his home. Mr. Rasmussen was in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, where he taught electronics. He moved to Meridian after being Honorably Discharged from the Air Force. Mr. Rasmussen retired from IBM. He was a member of Lakeview Golf Club and Meridian Model Railroad Club. Survivors include his daughter, Patti Ethridge and husband, Hal of Hickory, Mississippi; son, Stephen Rasmussen and wife, Melissa of Jackson, Mississippi; grandchildren, Jay, Justin, and Josh Ethridge; sister, Cynthia Kauffman of Nokomis, Florida; nephew, Greg Kauffman of Miami, Florida and nieces, Debbie and Lisa Kauffman both of Buffalo, New York. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Nell Rasmussen and parents, Albert and Naomi Rasmussen. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at robertbarhamffh.com.
