James Russell Spann

Funeral services for James Spann will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ebb Fox officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton.

Mr. Spann, age 47, of Meridian passed away Friday, March 25, 2016, at Rush Foundation Hospital.

James was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years. He attended Calvary Chapel. James enjoyed working in his yard and socializing with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Driver (Wade); son, Lane Spann; granddaughters, Sophie Driver and Daphne Driver; mother, Darleen Spann Ishee (Jim); siblings, Lanny Spann, Mark Spann, and Shea Scarborough (Hagen); mother of his children, Christine Lane; niece, Amber Spann; nephews, Levi Clark and Kellen Spann; a special cousin, Charles Spann (Charlotte); and numerous other cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Spann.
