James Douglas "Doug" Spears, Jr. Graveside services for James Douglas "Doug" Spears, Jr. will be held Friday July, 30 2010 at 1:00p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Jack Kern officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Spears, age 45, of Meridian, died Wednesday July 28, 2010 at his residence. He was an employee at AT&T. He was a member of Antioch Baptist church. He was a facility technician with AT&T the past 10 years. He was a graduate of Neshoba Central High School, an avid sportsman, and was always helping others. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Spears, of Meridian, two daughters, Amy Jamieson of Meridian, Angie White of Meridian, two grandchildren, Keaton and Lily Kate Jamieson of Meridian, his father, James Douglas Spears Sr. of Meridian, his mother, Becky McDaniel of Philadelphia, MS, his sister, Cathy Cole of Philadelphia, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, T.J. and Thelma Spears, and David and Pauline Smith. Pallbearers will be Charles Pickett, Joseph White, Keith Jamieson, Chris Jamieson, Chuck Jamieson, and Buck Winstead. Honorary pallbearers will be AT&T employees.
