Janet Lynn Espey

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025, at her home in Meridian.

Janet Lynn Espey, age 73, of Meridian passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Baptist Anderson Hospital.

Janet was a talented seamstress, known for her beautiful sewing, crochet creations, and intricate cross-stitch projects. Throughout her fulfilling career at La-Z-Boy, she poured her heart into her work and built lasting friendships along the way. A passionate cook, her family will always cherish her delectable meals and the love that went into every dish. Her devotion to her fur babies showcased her big heart, which embraced all creatures great and small.

Above all else, Janet treasured her role as a loving wife, mama, MawMaw, and great-mawmaw. She found immense joy in having her family gathered around her, lighting up every room with her warmth and kindness.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer McMillan (Rick); granddaughter, Alexis McMillan; great-grandson, Enzo McMillan; siblings, Linda Crossland (Eddie), Ronnie Goss (Pam), Freddie Goss (Diane), Brenda Dominguez (Emilo), Mike Goss (Barbara); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Espey; parents, Lumis and Dora Goss; siblings, Gerald Ray Goss and Derrell Goss.
