Janice Barber Everett

Funeral services for Mrs. Janice Barber Everett will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church with Dr. John Temple officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Everett, 71, of Meridian passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at her home surrounded by family.

Janice was a nurse for over 50 years. She attended Pearl River Community College and William Carey University. She was employed by numerous hospitals, but was a nurse at Rush Foundation Hospital for 29 years. She was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church where she was active in the adult choir.

Mrs. Janice is survived by her husband of 51 years, Miachel Everett; children, Amy Spring (Randy) and Doug Everett (Debrah); grandchildren, Brett Spring (Katie), Brady Spring, Colin, Sydney, Eli and Landrey Everett. Siblings, Joe Barber (Sue), Gary Barber, Keith Barber(Janet), Joan Forbes (Frank), Joyce Morgan, Brenda Gore(Royce), and Bobbie Lynn Carney(Ricky). Brothers and sisters-in-law, Gayle Snowden, Toby Everett (Janet), Jimmy Everett (Janet), as well as a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.

Mrs. Everett is preceded in death by her parents, Bobbie and Margaret Barber and infant grandson, Gabriel Everett.

The family suggest in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church Youth Group or to the Blair E. Batson Children’s hospital.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Janice’s grandsons and nephews.

The Everett family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in the sanctuary of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church.
