Janice Karen "Jan" Jones

Funeral services for Jan Jones will be held Monday, October 17, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Brother Nick Ulmer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Jones, 62, of Stonewall, passed away October 16 at Anderson Hospital.

Jan was born on March 3, 1954 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Woodie and Annie P. Jackson. She was a 1972 graduate of Clarkdale High School.

Jan was caring and compassionate and always put the needs of others before her own. A woman of faith and the heart of her family, Jan enjoyed cooking, growing flowers, visiting the beach and spending quality time with her granddaughters. Above all, Jan loved her family. She was a proud mom and grandmother.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Davey) Dewitt, and son, Dr. Paxton (Beth) Jones; granddaughters, Payton Ingram, Abby Shirley, Emerson, Elizabeth, and Olivia Jones; sister, Pat (Wayne) Wright; niece, Melissa (Andy) Mayatt; and great-nephew, Tucker Mayatt.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Woodie Jackson.
