Janice Mitchell Jones Services for Janice Mitchell Jones will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at First Christian Church with Dr. Tom Sikes officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery in Tiptonville, TN on Friday, May 17, 2013 with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Janice Mitchell Jones, 75, of Meridian, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Anderson Hospital. Mrs. Jones was a member of First Christian Church. She was a native of Tiptonville, Tennessee where she graduated from Tiptonville High School, and was a graduate of University of Tennessee at Martin. Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years and high school sweetheart, Dr. Elbert M. "Sonny" Jones of Meridian; and daughters Janet Brown and husband, Paul of Meridian, and Marilyn Jones- Davis and husband, Allen of Little Rock, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her father William "Jack" Mitchell and her mother Imogene Mitchell Bedwell. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to First Christian Church 2310 13th Street Meridian, MS 39301; The Shriners Hospital Transportation Fund; or the Anderson Cancer Benevolent Fund 1704 23rd Avenue Meridian, MS 39301.
