A graveside service for Jeff Buckley will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Chunky Cemetery with Masonic funeral rites, with burial to follow. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Jeff Austin Buckley checked out peacefully in his favorite chair surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, May 24th, 2026.
Jeff was a giant of build and heart. A legend among mortal men. He knew everyone worth knowing and a fair share of the ones that were not. He was a builder of men, businesses, fortunes, homes, churches, barns, and railroads. Everything he touched turned to gold, but his chief professions were justice court judge and electrician. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers since 1957. He retired from Buckley Electric in 2001 but never really stopped working.
His skills, knowledge, and wisdom were beyond measure and he enjoyed gardening, woodwork, tinkering, getting loved ones out of jams, telling questionable jokes, and spending time with family and friends. His faith in Christ was as unshakable as his word. He was nigh invulnerable, could knock a man out through a screen door, and could tranquilize a horse with a right hook.
He is survived by his sweetie pie of 10 years Marcia Everett, his daughter Leisa Follett, his son Jim Buckley and young wife Shirley, Number One Grandson Adam Follett and lovely wife Rebecca (Squeeze), grandson #2 Jacob Rheaume and husband Johnny, grandson #3 Joshua Buckley, and great grandchildren Jack and Norah Follett. He loved them all dearly and they him. But especially Adam.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years Sara Buckley, his parents Carl and Thelma Buckley, and his siblings Warren Buckley, Carlene Buntyn, and Elaine Lee.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that you tell Number One Grandson Adam that he looks handsome in his bow tie.
