Funeral services for Jerry W. Read will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022, 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Painter officiating. Burial will be at Rush Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Jerry W. Read, age 76 of DeKalb passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Sue Read; children, Lisa Painter (Eddie) and Jerry W. Read, II (Jane); grandchildren, Elisabeth Painter, Angel Barrios (Ian), Emily Rodriguez (Joe), Jerry W. Read, III, Hayden Read (Brittany), and Laken Fuller (David); great-grandchildren, Cody Painter, Lily VanTuinen, Nathan Read, and Presley Rodriguez; brother, Frankie Read; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Read; parents, Gordon and Mattie Read; and 10 siblings.

Pallbearers will be Ron Burton, Jack Aust, Paul Alawine, Randy Evans, Ronnie Lewis, Ian Barrios, Chris Hackworth, and David Turnage.
