Funeral services for Jerry "Zeke" Arnold Davis will be held Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Southern Methodist Church, with Brother Damon Williams and Dr. David Sellers officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery (Martin) with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Davis, age 77, of Collinsville passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at his residence.

"Zeke" loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Sunday afternoons were special family "coffee time" for many years. He loved to help people. If he drove by and saw someone’s driveway or yard needing repair, he’d come back with his tractor. He loved being on his tractor, especially working on his ponds. He was always ready for a story and a joke, again and again. He’d say, "Have I told you about…", "well, I’m gonna tell you anyway…" He was a former avid fisherman and hunter. He worked at Western Auto over ten years and then was a NAS firefighter for 25 years.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Ray Prince Davis; children, Cindy Davis Giles (Joe), Amy Davis Boutwell (Tony), and Al Davis, all from Collinsville, MS; grandchildren, Ashley Giles Eaves (Jon) from Florence, MS, Justin Giles (Kelsie) from Clinton, MS, Lauren Boutwell, and Jenna Boutwell both from Collinsville, MS.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lois A Davis; mother, Sadie Hodges Davis; sister, Joan May Frazier; and brothers-in-law, H.L. May and Jimmy Frazier.

Pallbearers will be Bernie Herrington, Gary Mayatt, Jack Mayatt, Josh Todd, Levi Buck, and Kevin Espey. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Davis, Lanoyette "Smitty" Smith, AJ Saterfiel, Carl Dean Saterfiel, Dewayne Todd, Lowery "Biscuit" Townsend, Bobby Blackwell, Charlie Mathis, Arnold Culpepper, Bob Killen, Al Willis, Otis Doss, James Hogan, and Joe Byrd.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made out to the Antioch Southern Methodist church van fund at 11441 Center-Hill Martin Rd, Collinsville, MS. 39325.
