Funeral services for Jessie Faye “Tidy” Chapman will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Carl White and Bro. Donnie Stuart officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Rankin County with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Chapman, age 92, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Bedford Care Center of Marion.

Mrs. Chapman was a member of Highland Baptist Church and was a member of Mrs. Carolyn Neal’s Adult I Ladies Sunday School Class as long as her health permitted. She was given the title “Grandma Tidy” by her grandchildren which was one of her favorite names.

Survivors include her son, Zane Chapman (Barbara); and her daughter, Janis Chapman Williamson (Larry); daughter-in-law, Sylvia Chapman; grandchildren, Jennifer Bolton (Chip), Jeffrey Williamson (Nezzie), Justin Williamson (Prerana), and Dustin Chapman (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Sarah Pringle, Jack Pringle, Gracie Pringle, Hannah Chapman, Mason Chapman, Camden Chapman, Camilla Williamson, Henry Williamson, Parker Bolton, and Witt Bolton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Chapman; son, Scott D. Chapman; granddaughter, Lisa Chapman Pringle; parents, James H. and Linnie Dawsey; and sister, Billie Kempff.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Chapman, Mark Butler, Chip Bolton, Randall Smith, Jeffrey Williamson, and Justin Williamson.

The family request donations be made to the Gideon’s International in lieu of flowers.
