Jimmy Carr Services for Jimmy Carr will be held Monday, March 3, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverends Marcus Finch, Ritchie Davis, and Donald Gentry officiating. Burial will be at Meridian Memorial Park with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Carr, age 63, of Meridian, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, at his home. Jimmy worked as parts manager with John O'Neil Johnson Hyundai and was in body shop business for many years. He was a part of youth baseball for 35 years. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Marilyn Carr of Meridian; son, Les Carr and his wife, Brandy of Marion; grandchildren, Hagan Carr, Nick Parker, Ryan Parker, and Lauren Creel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Myrtle Carr, and grandmother, Eunice Ezell. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Gideons International and Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in Jackson. Pallbearers will be Chuck Mathis, Purvis Shelton, Mike Johnston, Mike Davidson, Allen Lightsey, Joe Johnson, Randolph Smith and Tim Thornton.
