Jimmy Lewis Hornsby

The funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Hornsby will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Mississippi Memorial Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Jimmy Hornsby was born September 17, 1959 in McComb, Mississippi to Jamie and Irene Hornsby. He passed away on April 15, 2016 at Lakeside Living Center.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Lillie Barnes, and Kenneth and Katherine Hornsby.

Jimmy was a graduate of Northeast High School. He also served in the United States Navy for a number of years. Jimmy accepted Christ at an early age, becoming a faithful member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church of Meridian, Mississippi.

He is survived by his daughter, Paige Hornsby, New Mexico; parents, Jamie and Irene Hornsby, Meridian, Mississippi; three brothers, Jackie Hornsby, Meridian, MS, Ricky (Darlene) Hornsby, Toomsuba, MS, Kenneth (Elizabeth) Hornsby, Irvin, California; two sisters, Peggy Clark, Hattiesburg, MS, and Sandra (John) Palmer, Meridian, MS. With a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be: Christopher Leggett, David Bramlett, Al Green, Wesley Palmer, Jeffery Barnes, Henry Williams, Willie Williams, and James Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers: Jackie Hornsby, Kenneth Hornsby, and Ricky Hornsby.
