A funeral service for Jimmy Thomas will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Davey Wilkinson and Bro. Danny Napp officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the funeral home prior to the service in the chapel. Burial will follow at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Jimmy C. Thomas, Sr. age 78 of Toomsuba passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Oschner Rush Hospital.

Survivors include his bride of 57 years Brenda Thomas; son, Jimmy C. Thomas, Jr. (Teresa); grandsons, JC and Benny Thomas; sister, Vera Napp (Danny); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Alva Smith; father-in-law, Smitty Smith; sisters, Phyllis Simmons and Cynthia Thomas; niece, April M. Austin; parents, Preston and Helen Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Wheat, Mason Wheat, Skeeter Dial, and Jonathan Thrasher.
